Citation Report

The Web of Science database from Thompson Scientific (formerly ISI) has always offered the ability to search for how many times an article has been cited. Sometimes this is very straightforward; other times, it becomes complicated.

Now they have added short demonstration videos on doing citation searching — and other types of searching in the database.

This is one of the videos:

Citation Report (5:40 minutes) — Learn how to quickly create and export a report that details citation activity to an author’s publications. Each ISI Web of Science citation report includes a calculated h-index which is also discussed in this presentation.

These online videos are available from a link at the bottom of the first page that comes up when you select Web of Science from the library database page. Click on the button that says “Educational Materials.”
